IRTA is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Researcher with a PhD
related to Pomology, focused on orchard fruit quality management under the
effects of climate change, to join the Fruit Production Program.
Required qualifications and experience:
-Ph.D. in Plant Science with an academic background on Agronomy, Biology or
related discipline.
-Scientific experience in pomology research.
-Experience in statistical analysis.
-Sound computational skills with advanced user level of the Office package as
well as data analysis software.
-Scientific experience publishing in peer‐review scientific journals.
-Experience in interacting with the agricultural sector and the scientific
community in order to transfer knowledge and to gather their needs.
-Experience in collaborating in competitive projects regarding their research
activities.
-Full driving license for Europe and travelling availability.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Carry out research activities on Pomology focused on orchard fruit quality
management under the effects of climate change, integrated in a multidisciplinary
research team.
-Participate actively in the preparation of proposals for national and international public calls.
