The School of Food and Nutritional Sciences at University College Cork wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Food Science.

Applicants for the role of Lecturer in Food Science must have an active research track record and be an effective communicator with demonstrable excellence in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In line with the School’s strategic objectives, this post will be focused in the areas of Food Technology, Formulation and Processing and their impact on food quality, stability and safety, and will complement existing thematic areas in dairy, meat, food packaging, sensory food science, cereal science, plant protein technology and human nutrition and health. Reporting to the Head of School, the successful candidate will be expected:
 
• to support the UCC strategic plan to deliver world class food and nutritional sciences graduates;
• to demonstrate capability to deliver research programmes involving sustainable food processing and its impact on food quality, stability and safety.
