We are looking for a qualified actuary to join our team as Chief Reserving Actuary . As a part of Actuarial Center of Excellence, you will have the opportunity to report directly to the Senior Actuary, and you will have a matrix line of reporting with the CFO. You will have exposure to several forums with ExCo members in the attendance and you will lead the Reserving team.
Your main duties will include:
- Collaboration with all the local stakeholders in (Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, Finance, Risk…) and EMEA Region on reserving and strategic business decisions. Contribute to cross-function discussions by providing insights from own area in order to promote cross-functional sharing of information.
- Provide consultation and technical expertise on actuarial models and risk issues. Analyze data and undertake complex modeling using established methodologies to quantify risk and support business decision making.
- Research best actuarial practice and review/analyze current practice area to support senior management in developing and improving processes and systems.
- Make informed actuarial recommendations based on professional judgment and experience.
- Your BAU work will include quarterly reporting of reserves in several GAAPS (Spain Local, IFRS, Solvency 2, SST), Forecasting and Planning exercises, periodic meetings and analysis performed together with business areas.
- Ensure that the claims provisioning processes are appropriately governed in accordance with Group, Regional, and Local regulatory policies and compliant with regulations.
- Manage and develop the actuaries in the team.
